Standing Up for Victims of Spinal Fractures

If you have suffered a serious spinal injury due to someone else's negligence, getting your life back on track can be a struggle. But enlisting an effective law firm to be on your side is a good place to start.

At the Law Offices of Sanford M. Cipinko, our lawyers have more than 30 years of experience meeting the needs of personal injury clients in San Francisco and throughout California. Our reputation is the direct result of the hard work and one-on-one attention we provide to every client.

Cervical Spine Fractures

The cervical spine is the uppermost part of the spinal column. Injuries that occur to the cervical spine are typically the result of a violent collision that causes the cervical spine to compress against the shoulders. This injury can cause vertebra fractures, but it could cause the vertebra to burst into small fragments that can be impossible to repair.

The lumbar spine and the thoracic spine are the two other areas of the spine. Damage to either of these areas can be serious.

Wedge Fractures

This is a vertebral compression fracture. These fractures are most common in the thoracic spine, due to its rigidity. A wedge fracture is a serious fracture that may require extensive treatment.

Burst Fractures

This is a type of injury in which the back is severely compressed. Essentially, the spine is crushed. Most often, this is the result of serious trauma. The result could be paralysis or partial neurologic injury.

Dislocation Fractures

This is often considered the most serious of spinal fracture injuries. This is the type of injury that has the highest incidence of neurologic deficits. Typically, extensive surgery is required to stabilize the spine and, ideally, prevent paralysis.

All Cases Handled on a Contingency Basis

In spinal fracture cases, you will only be asked to pay attorney fees if we are successful in recovering compensation for you.
